The first views of Mera Peak as we trek towards it
All expeditions start in Kathmandu and there's time for city tours
Then we fly to Lukla
The lower Khumbu Valley is green and lush and we hike for two days up to Namche Bazar
The Sherpa kids are very cute and friendly
We learn about Buddhism from the Sherpas
Everyone works hard in Nepal
Especially the Porters who carry our gear.
There are some great suspension bridges that we cross.
We hike up to Khumjung
Sometimes yaks carry gear
If we can hike above Namche Bazar we'll get amazing views of EVerest
Cows, not yaks carry some of our gear.
spin them for prayers and good luck
Our kitchen boys will cook, then pack up and beat us to the next spot, where they'll set up and cook again.
When we get over to the Mera Peak valley, there are some lovely remote towns
